Claudie Saxe
Claudie Saxe’s painting recalls a violent and mysterious self-awareness and introspection. It brings the idea of the contrast between the light of a stained-glass window and the sufferance one feels while staring at it. Distinctly non-figurative, Claudie Saxe’s painting is related to the lyrical abstraction movement and at the same time to action painting by the way her gestures structure the pictural “beings.” Her work takes a poetic approach to further understand the complex relationship between the material and the body.
